We generally welcome the service of documents by fax and by e-mail. However this cannot be to the detriment of either our clients or this firm.

 

Service by fax is accepted but only from individuals, firms or organisations that also accept service by fax.

 

Service by e-mail is accepted on the same basis as service by fax, but with the following two provisos:

 

(a) The person, firm or organisation wishing to effect service

must telephone our offices in advance to advise of the

intended method of service and the approximate time of

sending

 

(b) Any document or documents must be sent in either

Microsoft Word or in some other format whose Read Only

software is in the public domain. An example of this

would be Adobe Acrobat (.pdf).

 

PRIVACY POLICY

ELSBYS SOLICITORS consider Internet and electronic privacy to be a matter of professional practice within solicitor-client confidentiality. We ensure that this privacy is protected and that your data is safeguarded. We explain below what information we collect from you and how we use it. We collect two types of information. (1) Information that you send to us via e-mail or Text/SMS and (2) website usage information from log files.

All information sent to us is treated as confidential. It will not be disclosed to a third party and your details will not be added to any marketing database. In short, you will not hear from us unless you request it.

Log files. Information is gathered through server logs and processed by log analysis tools. This includes the date and time of visits, IP address of the visitor, pages viewed, time spent at our web site and the web site that brought you to our site via any hyperlink. This information is analysed on a collective basis to provide summary statistics for the purpose of evaluating the use made of the site and to identify system performance or any problem areas. None of this information is associated with you as an identifiable individual. In particular, we do not connect these site statistics with any information you might provide while using the site. We do not use “cookies” to collect information from your computer.

How we protect your information

The Internet is not inherently secure. However, we have put in place various security procedures as set out in this policy.

Storage of Information

Some information you submit via e-mail on this site may be stored on the server solely to allow initial processing of your submission to ELSBYS SOLICITORS. As soon as this processing has been completed, all your information is permanently deleted from the server and only stored by us at our own secure premises. Periodically, past electronic communications are removed from our live system and stored separately at our secure long-term back up facility.

Your consent

By submitting your information you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to such changes.

What happens when you link to other sites

This privacy policy relates solely to this website, so you should always be aware when you are moving to another site and read the privacy policy of any site which collects personal information.
